The Hamziyyah of Imam al-Busiri

Less well known than his monumental Qasida al-Burda but according to many scholars, a greater literary accomplishment comprising 456 verses, Imam Busiri’s masterpiece encapsulates the biography and virtues of Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace), making it a unique contribution to the tradition of the panegyric form.

Expertly translated by Shaykh Hamza Yusuf who also translated the Qasida al-Burda in 2001, this new publication is a landmark contribution to praise-poetry of the Prophet of Islam.
