Course Description

  • A tajwid masterclass course suitable for imams, madrasa teachers, huffaz and advanced students to achieve a high level of proficiency leading to an ijaza from the teacher. You will begin recitation of the first juz’ of the Qur’an with Sheikh Muhammad Shu’ayr, a master reciter trained in the world-renowned Azhari tradition, leading to a complete khatm of the Qur’an. Upon satisfactory completion of the entire Qur’an you shall receive a formal authorization.

    Please note that an ijaza is only issued at the teacher’s discretion and completing the recitation of the entire Qur’an does not guarantee one shall receive an ijaza.

Course Outline

  • Students shall progress through the reading of the entire Qur’an depending on their individual level of proficiency, and hence, there is no set length for the course.

    Each semester consists of ten weeks. There will be three semesters each calendar year.

  • Course Requirements

    You must be able to recite the Qur’an fluently. Upon receiving your registration form, we will contact you to arrange a short test after which places will be allocated on the course.
